How to Place an Order

In this article, you'll find a guide on how to build and place a purchase order (PO) on Ondustry.

Placing an order on Ondustry takes you from browsing a distributor's catalog all the way to a finalized PO, all in one flow. Here's how it works, step by step.

From the left menu, select Distributors.

Choose the distributor you want to order from.

On their Products tab, search or browse for the item you want, then tap Add to PO on the product card.

Tap Create new PO to start a fresh purchase order, or

Choose an existing draft PO from the All POs list to add the product to it instead.

From the left menu, select Orders, then find your PO under the POs tab.

Open the PO and fill in the PO Details, such as your PO number and name.

Confirm the Shipping Info. Choose between Ships to or Will Call, and check the assigned location, name, and phone number.

Review the product list, quantity, and total on the right to make sure everything's correct.

When you're ready, tap Place order.

Once you tap Place order, your PO is sent automatically to the distributor.

The distributor then reviews and confirms your PO. Once they do, it's converted into an invoice.

You'll find it by going to Orders, then switching to the Invoices tab. If it's not there yet, the distributor likely hasn't confirmed it; you'll still see it under POs with a status like Sent or Seen in the meantime.
